With the Ohio State Buckeyes not in on the festivities, it was a little disappointing of an offseason, especially with the Big Ten doing well in the final rankings. The Associated Press released their final Top 25 Poll, and there's few surprises at the top, but a lot of changes, regardless. Alabama takes the top spot after dominating LSU, who falls to No. 2. Oklahoma State held at No. 3 and actually received four first-place votes, more than LSU at No. 2, who received one. Oregon moved up to No. 4, while Arkansas moved up to No. 5. Stanford and USC both fell out of the top five, with the former occupying No. 7 and the latter occupying No. 6.
Again, there is no Ohio State on this one, and unlike the Coaches Poll, the Ohio Bobcats didn't receive any votes, either. Wisconsin is the highest Big Ten team represented, coming in at No. 10, while Michigan State and Michigan trail just behind them at No. 11 and No. 12, respectively.
Occupying the middle ground of the poll is impressive for the Big Ten, just a shame that there's no OSU at this point.
