What a Good Self-Confidence can do to you?

It is normal to feel less confident in other aspects of life. This is because self- confidence is not about knowing and being able to do everything. There are two things that can contribute to self-confidence: Self-efficacy and self-esteem, the latter often mistakenly used synonym to self-confidence. Moreover, self-efficacy means that we see ourselves mastering skills and achieving goals that are related if not intertwined with that skill area. In sports for instance, not all professional swimmers are born swimmer or have chromosome for swimming. Some of them became good with studying, practice and coached by one good swimmer. When they are in a competition, they have a certain level of confidence that they are taking home the glory and the prize. Yet, while they are good swimmer, they may not be good dancer or singer. Self-efficacy is being confident that when you learn and work hard in a particular area you will succeed and this type of confidence would result that you can be able to accept challenges and persist in times of these difficulties.

Self-esteem is a more general sense in how we can cope up with what?s going on in our lives and that we have the right to be happy. This is partly affected by the feeling that people around us accepts or approves us which is beyond our control. The other factor that?s affects this is our competency in what we do as we can be successful if we focus and put our minds on it.

Therefore, with self-confidence we can be competent. We can do things that we know we are good at and we can really make good things. With a good level of self-confidence, we have a grip on where we can excel.

We expect something from ourselves and those realistic expectations makes us feel good. When we feel good about ourselves and confident, we can face the challenges that come along. We can risk, and we are not afraid to fail. We can see the positive outcomes even in the worst situations. We can resolve our problems and we can actually be good at that. While we expect, we are realistic. We set goals that are achievable and work on to attain them.
